Friday, 1st August, 2014, 06:15 PM IST Aamir Khan is known to go out of his way in promoting his films. This time the star has come up with an innovative idea to market his film ‘P.K.’. During a discussion regarding the marketing strategy of the film, Aamir suggested that they have some fun and introduce a new tool foraudience interaction.
A source revealed, “Rajkumar Hirani and Aamir are keen to work with some never seen before ideas. The film’s marketing team is now working towards placing standees in cinema halls months in advance so as to generate curiosity. Moreover, Aamir has suggested that instead of putting up a regular standee, they should mix things up a bit by having the cut-outplay recorded messages from Aamir himself.”
So now the audience can actually interact with Aamir’s cut-outs that will be placed in the lading cinema halls across the city. The source further said, “Even though some stills from the film have been leaked out, the crew has managed to keep Aamir’s look under wraps. There has been much speculation about his look and his character, so Aamir and Rajkumar Hirani wanted to cash in on it in an innovative fashion.” A spokesperson for the film confirmed the story saying, “This is surely the first time that a Bollywood film will have a talking standee. It adds an interesting element to a static marketing tool.” |
