Thursday, 28th August, 2014, 03:20 PM IST The hard hitting movie ‘Mardaani’ released nationwide recently. However, Jisshu Sengupta’s role as Rani Mukerji’s leading man wasn’t as recognized as his counterparts in the movie. The reason behind this is that the script got altered until the eleventh hour leading to his role being sketchy and shaky.
If sources are to be believed, producer of the flick, Aditya Chopra, called him to express his regrets about the way Jisshu’s role finally shaped up.
In regards to his role, Jisshu said, “Initially when I saw myself in the film I was not happy at all. But then I realized the film had shaped up so well and my role had to be sacrificed to make the narrative tight and gripping. The main conflict is between Rani and Tahir Bhasin, and they are both too good. I am just happy to be part of a good film.” |
