Detailed Analysis:
Film 'Rahasya' was in news for sometime due to its similarity with infamous murder case from Nation capital region few years back.
Film is inspired from real life events where teenage girl is killed in her flat in presence of doctor parents (Aashish Vidyarthi and Tisca Chopra). How this mystery deepens after her father is arrested by police in the charge of murdering his daughter. There is another couple who is very friendly with this doctor couple, a maid, a servant and an obsessive lover of the girl. Then enters a CBI officer (Kay Kay Menon) who unravels whole mystery after many ups and downs. Performance wise Kay Kay Mneon excels once again despite half baked dialogues. He proves his worth again in this pivotal role. Mita Vashishta is super, Ashish Vidyarthi is intense and rest of the supporting cast is top notch. But Tisca Chopra is subtle yet leaves a mark. Film has no songs which is apt for such film. Editing is crisp and cinematography is excellent. Background score is pathetic. Story was good but poor dialogues spoil the fun at places. Art department and costume department are average.
Director Manish Gupta delivers a rare tight thriller without any commercial compromise. His real victory is the superb climax and stellar acts from relatively non-fancy cast. Film will release tomorrow and will get 100 screens which will be bad for such film. Film will find it tough at box office as there is so much competition in form of 'Khamoshiyan' and 'Hawaizaade'. And such films do find audience in plexes but to have good word of mouth without any face value is tough task.
Go for this one if you want edge of the seat experience!
