Kareena Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra are casting their differences aside for a good cause. They are working together in a docu-drama for UNICEF to promote the education and development of the girl child. The video is set to be presented by the national ambassador for UNICEF – Priyanka Chopra.
Some time ago, Kareena was seen canvassing for the secondary school education of girls and young women in rural parts of the country. She even celebrated Eid with these children. As a result of this brilliant gesture, Priyanka spoke to Kareena about featuring in this video.
Talking about the rendezvous, Kareena Kapoor said that when Priyanka Chopra presented the opportunity she agreed immediately, though she refused to divulge anything more about the video. As a UNICEF celebrity advocate, Kareena hosted a charity dinner forunder privileged children. The Goodwill Ambassador of UNICEF India and her mother-in-law Sharmila Tagore were also in London at the event.
Kareena also denied there was a rift between her and Priyanka and stated that both of them share a mutual respect for each other and were on good terms. She also said that the reports that talk about her rivalry with other actresses are generated by the media, and that she gets along with most actresses in Bollywood.
Kareena Kapoor is currently celebrating the success of ‘Singham Returns’ and will prepare to star with Salman Khan in ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’, which will be directed by Kabir Khan. Priyanka Chopra is currently occupied with the promotion of the upcoming Sanjay Leela Bhansali film ‘Mary Kom’. After this,Priyanka will shift her focus onto other films like Zoya Akhtar's ‘Dil Dhadakne Do’, Sanjay Leela Bhansali's ‘Bajirao Mastani’ and Madhur Bhandarkar's ‘Madamji’.
