Monday, 15th Sept 2014, 1:59 PM IST We all remember the horrific day of 26/11 (26th November,2008). Kabir Khan is making a movie titled ‘Phantom’ set against the backdrop the attacks of 26/11. The movie stars Saif Ali Khan and Katrina Kaif in the lead role; and recently, Katrina shot for an important scene of the film at Gateway of India. Just opposite Gateway of India is Taj Mahal Palace Hotel, which was one of the targets of terrorists. A source close to the film said, "The scene shows Katrina arriving at the scene of the crime. It is an important moment in the movie and the unit was anxious for obvious reasons. Due to the sensitivity of the location, procuring permissions was a time consuming process. And that iswhy Kabir applied for and got approval months in advance." Well, if Katrina Kaif is shooting in an area, handling the crowd would have been quite difficult; so the shooting took place in morning around 5:30 am and a major part of the film was shot by 8:30 am. There were also some sequences which were to be shot inLahore, but a set was created in Filmistan Studio to shoot the scenes. A source said, "The portions which are shown as Lahore in the film have been extensively shot in Malerkotla, Punjab, which boasts architecture similar to that of the Pakistani city. And for the patchwork, instead of going all the way to Punjab, a set of Lahore was created in Filmistan.” |
