Monday, 22nd September 12:50 PM IST Producer of Shahid Kapoor starrer ‘Mausam’, Sheetal Talwar will be co-producing a film with BBC. The movie is based on the infamous Eichmann trials. Talwar will be the first Indian producer to co-produce a film with BBC. The film has been titled as ‘The Eichmann Show’ and will be directed by BAFTA nominee Peter Andrew Williams. Eichmaan trials showcased live Nazi war crimes of Otto Adolf Eichmann. Talking about the film, Sheetal said, "‘The Eichmann Show’ is a film based on the Eichmann trials. It is a film on the court trials that were telecast on TV, making it the world's first reality show. The film is being produced by two Bafta nominee producers, a Bafta nominee director, BBC and me." ‘The Eichmann Show’ will be shot in UK, Malta and Lithuania. "After I produced ‘Mausam’ which was Pankaj Kapur's directorial debut, my production company has been focusing on script development and putting a slate together. This includes Veda, Rajiv Gandhi, Guru Dutt and now Eichmann. This is the first time that an Indian producer is co-producing with BBC," added Talwar. |
